This and that

Jacob loves to help dad fix anything - tools are his favorite.

Wandering in the pasture

Feeding rocks to his new friend

The boys were playing at the water table for awhile before I noticed that Jacob kept going over to the flowers. He was carrying a small pan of water each time and watering the flowers.

Misc

Jacob sure does love to dig...

Helping his brother get on the 4-wheeler

I'm not exactly sure what's happening here...

Timmy fell asleep rocking with his uncle (yet he won't fall asleep when I rock him!)

Hugs
(though, if I remember correctly, this was seconds before they both toppled over)

Playing with cousins at our play ground

Jacob saw a tractor baling hay way out in the far field, so he took off from the slide and ran towards it

We planned on hiking this day but ended up spending most of our time at the play ground.

Timmy is perfectly content knowing his big brother is holding him :)

Mondays are always tough since we're out all day on Sundays and miss naps. This was Monday morning and Jacob fell asleep on the floor of his room.

We bough a water table for the boys and they love it. Haven't had much chance to use it (with our cooler weather right now), but I'm sure it'll get lots of use this summer.

Oddly enough, a pheasant showed up on our back patio. At first we thought it was pretty neat. And after awhile, we realized it really wasn't that neat. The thing wouldn't leave, even after being chased away. It was pecking our screens and trying to get in the house (!!) It's still hanging around here somewhere and it's been a few days now.

That same night, a cat decided that we were going to be its new family. (yes, 2 new animals in 1 night) It must be someone's pet because it's extremely friendly (you can't walk without tripping over it, it comes for walks with us and trots right along side us, and it's always trying to get in the house when we open the door).

Unfortunately, the boys both love the thing.

Jacob "planted" this stick, stepped back to admire his work, and said "nice!"

Picking lilacs for Mary

Giving his flowers to Mary (throwing them at her feet) :)
