Playing Mass

 The boys play Mass usually several times throughout the day.

Apparently our new priest wears glasses, which is why Davey has to wear his glasses when he's the priest. ;-)

What do you want to do when you grow up?  watch television all day

What kind of job to you want to have when you grow up? I want to be a farmer, just on this farm. I want to stay home.

(and he still hates having his picture taken, so this was the best we could do...)

What do you want to do when you grow up?  Go be extra strong. That's all that I want to do.

What kind of job to you want to have when you grow up? I want to be a farmer.

A few weeks ago we were all talking about birthdays...

"And Timmy, you were born on July 6, 2018."

Timmy: "2018?! That's a long time ago! That was the olden days! Did they even have cars back then?"

"Yes, they did have cars."

Timmy: "Oh. Well they didn't have shoes back then. That's really old!"

Summer Fun

 Lots of random pictures, in no real order.

The boys spend so much time out at the sandbox, digging and building and doing all sorts of things (sometimes burying shoes that aren't recovered for weeks...)

Corn on the cob is a definite favorite

We've gone for a couple bike rides, each of us on our own bikes!

We got the garden in super late this year, and with no rain (and not wanting to take the time to water it) it's doubtful we'll get much (if anything) off it. But it was fun to plant! :)

The boys found a dead patch of grass (one of many) and built a pretend campfire.

They each got their backpacks, put their stuffed animals, snacks and waters in them, and then headed out to the woods to go exploring. They've done this several times now and have a blast out there.

"This is just like a band-aid. It pushes all the blood back in and it only hurts a bit."

Timmy "served" again. This time it was a Solemn High Mass for the feasts of Sts. Peter and Paul - and also the last TLM in Platteville. I think I counted 28 servers and 7 priests. It was very impressive!
