We thought it would be interesting to move Jacob into a toddler bed and see how goes. So Dominic whipped one up, with Jacob's help, of course.
We're going to wait till spring to paint or stain it - so we can do it outside in the fresh air.
He loves his new bed! We were a tad worried that he'd want his crib back and wouldn't go to sleep in the new bed (he doesn't seem to like change of any kind) but he's been doing great! He climbs right in at night and he stays there until we come in and get him in the morning. I'm still in shock. ;-) He's been in it for a week now.
Dominic decided that it needed a strip of color-changing LED lights underneath.
And Jacob has fun playing with the remote (or "mote" as he calls it) and changing the colors.

How adorable is this??? The best part is that he was able to help build his own little bed so he gets to feel the pride of accomplishment. It is so neat to watch him learning such tremendous life skills!
