Well, we did it. For better or worse...we put Mike and Dave in a room together.
It's been a few weeks and they've been doing surprising well! They're getting less sleep, of course, but still more than we thought they would. And they both love being together.

And sometimes we find them like this:

Jacob and Timmy were able to use the battery-operated snow blower a couple times. Jacob especially loves it and is quite proud of being able to clear the snow by himself.

Quotable Quotes

Mike: "Can we go for a Sunday Ranger ride?"

"How do you know it's Sunday?" (it was)

Mike: "Because the sun is out!"

Jacob: "I can go 7 minutes without food."   (which is pretty accurate, actually...)

Dad: "We'll have to tell Mom about that when we get home. She'll sure be surprised!" (they saw a farmer combining his field in January)

Timmy: "I doubt it. Not too many things surprise Mom."

"This isn't a safe place for little boys right now."

Mike: "Well...I'm a man."

Timmy: "I like miserable weather!"

"When you have the letters S and H together, they make the sound 'sh', like 'shovel' and 'shoot' and 'shiver' and -"

Timmy: "and 'Be Quiet!'"

"This one is 29 ounces. How am I going to remember that?"

Jacob: "I'll remember it for you. I can remember anything!"

<5 minutes later>

"Jacob, how many ounces was that one?"

Jacob: "24"

"No it was 29. I thought you could remember anything?"

Jacob: "I can remember everything except ounces."

Dad was reading the Boxcar Children to the boys. In the book, the kids had to wait for the library to open so they go there to research something.  Timmy: "But Dad, why don't they just ask Google?"

They've been riding their bikes throughout the winter and now they discovered they can shovel while biking.
