Reading one of his favorite tractor books (while eating a tractor, of course).
Practicing for his first performance!
Checking out the Bobcat for size.
He's a funny little boy. He always wants to sit on the tractors and lawn mowers, and he knows to put his hands up on the levers of the zero-turn mowers.
He's been signing more and more - to the point where he's made up his own sign. Whenever he sees the Ranger or a tractor or some machine he wants to ride, he points at it and shakes his finger up and down (which apparently means "ride"). Crazy kid. 😏
He recently started signing the word "please",
and is using the word "more" more consistently, which is nice.
There's a statue of Mary outside his bedroom window, so every night when we're getting ready for bed, we look out and say "Goodnight, Mary. Please help me to get to heaven." Last night we went through the same routine and I looked down at him to see him signing "please". 💕
We decided to try putting down grass clippings in the garden this year, since we have a lawn mower with a bagger now. It's worked surprisingly well to keep the weeds down!
This is the smaller garden with some overgrown lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, peas, beans, broccoli, carrots, onions and cucumbers.
This is the bigger garden with pumpkins, watermelon and squash.
Our Godson/nephew came out the day and helped with a bunch of chores around the place.
We ended up getting a few loads of hay that day and it was really nice to have the extra help!
